My research interests are in systematics and taxonomy, and historical biogeography. The main focus of my work has a taxonomic basis and includes revisions of genera in the plant family Leguminosae (Fabaceae) of Southeast Asia. Another interest is in making information available through interactive online keys for Southeast Asian flowering and seed plants, in this way making the flora of Southeast Asia accessible to more people than researchers.
Key words
Leguminosae (Fabaceae), Southeast Asian plants, interactive keys (Linnaeus), taxonomy, historical biogeography.
Researchinterests
At this moment I am working on the Interactive Key to the Fabaceae (Papilionoideae) for Flora Malesian. This Key will be published online after the Flora Malesiana volume on the Papilionoideae has been published as a hard copy.
Furthermore, I am currently working on the Interactive Key to the Southeast Asian Flowering Plants (Seed Plants) up to genus level. At a later stage links to Flora Malesiana and other interactive keys will be added. This is an ongoing project and experts in certain plant families are invited to contribute to the Key by adding photographs and filling the gaps in the database.
